Play Some Good Music
Nothing gladdens the heart and mind than a good sweet music. Music has a way to lift the mind and body in ways we can only imagine. Each and everyone of us have a playlist that we love to hear and sing along to. This would be a good time to put that playlist on random select on the background and get to work on your cleaning. Singing along without necessarily compromising on the quality of cleaning would not only get it done but get it done quicker.
See It As A Game
A game? How can cleaning be a game? Well this pushes your mind's creativity. Agree to it or not, we all have that child within each of us waiting to be unleashed whenever we want. Picture the entire cleaning process as something fun and you will see yourself cleaning the house quicker and with a smile. Unless you're not the shy type, this will work best when you're alone at home. This brings out the best child in us.
Light Up the Room
By lightening up the room, you are able to assess all the areas you want to clean. Increase the lights by opening the windows and blinds and switching on the lights. This gives you a better view of what you have to do and gets you prepare. It's tiring when you begin cleaning, only to discover you underestimated the level of dirt in the room.
Pick Things Up
If you have a kid, chances are you have toys littering around in your house. Same can be said if you own pets because they behave just like kids. As you begin cleaning, go around the space and check behind furniture for hidden or misplaced items. If these are not taken out, they can act as breeding ground for dust and dirt. It's even more painful seeing them after you are done with the cleaning. So ensure you do this first.
Place Everything Back
Take one room at a time which makes the entire cleaning easier. This way, you kind of encourage yourself with every progress made in each room. So when you are done with one room, ensure you place everything right back to where they all belong. It makes the cleaning worth every bit as you get to see the room take on a new glow.
