Cleaning the bedroom go just beyond vacuuming the carpet or floor, cleaning furniture and the sort. The bedroom, if not clean properly and regularly, can hold large quantities of germs. For instance, an unkempt mattress houses more germs than a dirty bathroom. While this may seem exaggerated, it just happens to be the simple truth. So yes, all those skin flakes, body oils, hair, pet hairs (if you have one), etc. So when cleaning the bedroom, you should start from the very beginning.
Dust It All Out
A common mistake we make is vacuuming before dusting every part of the room. Dusting the mattress is not just all there is to it. What about the drapes or curtains and furniture surfaces? You will be amazed the quantity of dust and dirt you would find, especially during the Spring.
Vacuum! Vacuum!! Vacuum!!!
There's no bypassing this part because it's what reduces the dirt in your bedroom. There are even vacuums that can be used on upholstery so you have no excuse. If you have a sizeable carpet in your bedroom, you can start by shaking it off outside to remove most of the dust and dirt. There are several good vacuum cleaners around today. Get the one you know you can work with. For most of them, they are adapted to work on both carpets and hard floors - you just need to switch it to whichever mode you want. Most of these vacuums do not suck perfectly on carpets. You may have to work slowly and repeated on a spot to get better results.
Clean Out the Dresser
Usually the dresser is one of the first places to get messed up in the bedroom. Cleaning and arranging it can be a whole lot stressful. To make it more easy and interesting for you, leave it as the last place to clean. When you're done with the general cleaning, take out one drawer at a time and go sit in front of the TV. Just take your time in arranging this particular drawer before bringing out the next. In a matter of minutes to hours, you would be done with all drawers. You don't really have to make all aspect of cleaning look boring, you know!
Change the Bedsheets
So we will all try to understand that you are so in love with your bedsheet, you just can let it out of your sight for a minute. Think about how well you have coped when you are away from home because that's how you are going to cope from now on. Sheets and mattresses were not designed to clean themselves. To avoid making more mess in your room. Pull the sheet off, fold it and take it outside. Beat and dust off all sorts before bringing it back into the house for washing. Do same with the mattress with your hand or a duster before sprinkle baking soda on it. Vacuum off after it has sit on the mattress for a while.
