Always Make the Bed

Some people see this simple act as too big a deal to cope with. How hard is it to make a bed you just woke up from? Like seriously, this should be one of the easiest things to do. A made bed gives this new look of cleanliness to the room. Just try it and see how it looks. When a bed is made, it's easy to spot other things that are out of place. If this is not enough motivation, then think of it as achieving your very first task of the day. This usually has a ripple effect as it tends to boost your morale for tackling every other task in the day.

One Laundry At A Time

Most people tend to earmark a certain day of the week to do their laundry. This may not seem like much if you live alone but if you are married with growing kids, this could be a heavy task on its own. The best way to get it done is to do one little laundry at a time. There's really no reason why you can't do laundry every day. Think of a time when you stay idle and find a good way to multitask. You could throw in few clothes into the washing machine before going into the bathroom. This way you can achieve both things at the same time. When you make this a way of life, you would not have dirty clothes lying around waiting for the "laundry day".

Keep the Sink Shining

Just as the bed is to the bedroom, the sink is yet another important part of the kitchen. Avoid piling up dishes in the sink and hoping to wash them when the time is right. You can even teach your kids how to clean after themselves by teaching them how to wash their plates. Cultivate a habit to always leave the sink empty and shining before going to bed or leaving the house. A neat and shining kitchen gives the kitchen a tidy look. It also reduces the possibility of germs and other bacteria from breeding.

Clean Surfaces

The main tool you would need to achieve this is a readily available microfiber cloth. With this, you can ensure other parts of your home, besides the sink, is left shining. Look out for furniture surfaces and swipe them casually as you walk through your house. Do this daily and you would notice your home always have that sparkle without you allocating a day for cleaning.

Set A Time Daily

While we go on with our busy schedules, we can still incorporate cleaning daily into our lives. All you have to do is set aside like 10 minutes daily to clean up the house. It's even much more fun if you get everyone involved. As you busy yourself in the kitchen in the evenings, you can get the kids to pick up their toys and keep them back in their rightly place. Those things you know they used and may have probably left lying on the floor, should be placed back. Overtime, this becomes part of them and your home will look more tidy and neat.
